Betty Crocker is my home girl

One of my greatest claims to fame is that I absolutely looooove to bake and cook - more bake than cook. Here are some of the things I've cooked from scratch, and from scratch, I mean if sauces were used, they were also made from scratch:
  • cinnamon rolls
  • chicken with dumplings
  • spinach and artichoke dip - a winner every time
  • guacamole - still looking for a good recipe
  • beef chili
  • chicken chili
  • chicken parm
  • eggplant parm - sooo good, I actually finished the pan instead of wasting what I didn't eat
  • lasagna - I always feel like I'm missing something; I need whatever Stouffer's use
  • sweet potato pie - another winner
  • tuna casserole
  • chocolate chip cookies - will keep working at this
  • red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting
  • vietnamese spring rolls - good, but I don't want to look at rice noodles again
  • apple pie
  • spaghetti sauce
  • alfredo sauce - too much work, tasted horrible. will stick to jar sauce
  • stuffed shells
  • baked ziti
I'm leaving out things like meatloaf and chicken cassorole recipes off of the back of Campbell's soup cans, but you get my drift. I have spent plenty of money and have learned that sometimes the road to perfection is laden with nasty batches of seafood gumbo you have to force yourself to eat because you just spent all you lunch money for the next two weeks on four types of seafood that you thought would taste good combined in a pot with okra and an accidental spill of cayenne pepper.

However, when its good, its awesome, and I can't hear enough about it. And, remember: the key to a man's heart is his stomach. I swear.

Now, if someone can tell me what can I buy for $50-75 that I can eat for 2 weeks on, let me know. Something healthy, please.

Oh, hello

Hello everyone. Welcome one, welcome all.

As if the mini-novel under my title didn't say enough, I'm going to explain my purpose of this blog. Basically, I aspire to be a better person every day of my life. Let's face it: no one is perfect. However, most of us want to be or wish to be as perfect as can be, knowing that they will always be human. This blog will just be a journey into my comings and goings, issues and things that i've learned, and just some overall craziness and silliness.

How did I come to the title of this blog?
  • The (fill in the blank) comes from the fact that I don't want to focus at being the best at just one thing. I am interested in so many things that I think I have ADHD. Besides, all the gods and goddesses out there are focus on just one thing (the goddess of love, the god of earth, or whatever)
  • Goddess: it does come from wanting people to worship me. Another logical question: why not "Diva"? Um, no. Think of the connotations that raises: self centered, unrealistic demands, etc.
  • In Training: I'm too young and too inexperienced to be an actual goddess. But, if I come along the lines of something that I am, indeed, a goddess of, best believe I will scream it from the highest mountain top.
Things you need to know: I will curse. I'll get detailed. I might misspell a few words (fuck spell check). This may eventually turn into a whole 'nother blog (or hopefully a book deal??).

So, here we go.
